Short Biography
Anastasia joined the Interface Group in 2024 for her PhD after completing her master’s degree at the University of Ulm in Molecular and Translational Neuroscience. She wrote her master’s thesis at the University of Munich where she identified molecular candidates to genetically manipulate specifically in astrocytes as a therapeutic intervention in an ALS mouse model. During her graduate degree she took up a role as a student assistant analysing MRI data and calculating the volumetric changes within different anatomical structures in mouse brains of ALS model. For her PhD she will be working on the fluid dynamics of the CNS.
